About Shridi Sai Baba

SHIRDI has acquired fame as a pilgrimage center because Shri Sai Baba’s Samadhi is placed here. Some devotees consider him a saint with miraculous powers. Sathya Sai Baba is said to be one of his incarnations and Shirdi Sai Baba was an Incarnation of Bhagat Kabir.

The Shirdi Saibaba Temple, located at Shirdi, Maharashtra, India attracts millions of devotees of all religions, castes and creed who come to pay homage to Shri Sai Baba.

Shirdi is a small village in Kopargam taluk, in Ahmadnagar District of the Maharastra State. Spiritually, it has become a magnet, attracting hordes of believers from all over the globe, all attempting to resolve their existential dilemmas in the abode of a mystic who offered them that simple unequivocal promise: ‘‘If you look to me, I look to you.’’

Thursday is the day Saibaba is specially worshipped. On this day devotees from all over India visit Shirdi for Darshan of Saibaba. The Temple is managed by Shri Sai Baba Sansthan since 1922. The trust ensures that a strict code of conduct is maintained in the temple premises

Itinerary

Day 01: ARRIVE MUMBAI / SHIRDI (295kms-5.5hrs approx.)
Arrive Mumbai Airport. Pick up from the airport and drive to Shirdi, a sacred place on the banks of the River Godavari. Arrive Shirdi and check in at the Hotel. Evening is at leisure. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 02: SHIRDI / MUMBAI DEPART (295kms-5.5hrs approx.)
Morning visit Mahasamadhi temple of Sri Sai Baba. Abode of one of Maharashtra's most revered saint -- Sai Baba of Shirdi. Popularly known as the 'Child of God', Sai Baba preached tolerance towards all religions and the message of universal brotherhood. Every activity at Shirdi revolves around the vast temple complex dedicated to Sai Baba. Devotees start queuing up in the early hours of dawn to catch a glimpse and seek the blessings of the life-size statue of Sai Baba. Thursday is marked by special pujas and darshan of the Sai Baba statue. Visit Dwarkamani Mosque where the Baba meditated and slept on alternate nights. Near the mosque, in a corridor is the dhuni or eternal flame that burns day and night. Other places of importance are the Gurusthan, the Kandoba Temple, Shani Mandir, Narsimha Mandir, Changdev Maharaj Samadhi and the Sakori. Later drive back to Mumbai and transfer to airport/railway station. TOUR ENDS…..
